Climb up the EM coding career ladder with a CEMC certification

Coding guidelines for evaluation and management services are complex, change quite often and one single error is enough to land you in a spot. As such, only a well-trained evaluation and management coder can dispense his job well. However, such coders are difficult to come by, even in large metropolitan areas. Even medical practices and hospitals in smaller communities and tight labor markets have difficulty in filling openings. Therefore, the demand for such coders is pretty high.

If you are to enter this ever-growing field and make a mark, you can go for an evaluation and management certification. For instance, you can go for American Academy of Professional Coders’ Certified Evaluation and Management Coder (CEMC) exam. This exam was developed by a team of leading EM coding professionals.

When you take this exam, you’ll be tested on all aspects of EM coding, rules and regulations of Medicare billing, evaluation and management code, time based coding, medical terminology and anatomy, the three key components with emphasis on MDM and a host of other things.

But passing this tough CEMC exam is not an easy task. As such, you’ll do well to go for a CEMC training camp, which will prepare you inside out in just three days time to take the CEMC exam head on.
